20 Quartus, 1669
When I hoped that Theus was guiding us in Ussura I didn't think it would be so literal. We found our guide shortly after our arrival here. The Lady of Lake suggested that there was a spirit in Ussura that we could speak to for help and I suppose we did. Although I do have to question the trials we went through to get there. But eventually we did speak to this Spirit. Actually Bleys and Rachel talked to the spirit. I am not sure as to what religious revelations were made. What they were told is that the third Prophet was not, in fact, a prophet of Theus, but a substitute put in place by the 13 demon lords. The very same demon lords that we are on a mission to destroy. The first and second Prophets were genuine, however. This is going to cause some concern with the inquisition. The fact that Cardinal Verdugo's name is on the list does not help. The more I think about it, the more I realize that our best chance for success in Castillo is enlisting the aid of my father.
On the other hand the thought of meeting my father is still frightening. I have no idea how he is going to react to me being pregnant or to having Bleys as a lover. I do not think I am going to do anything about Bleys, I like sharing his bed. He is a kind and considerate lover and he makes me feel happy. Logically I know that this is not going to end well. Bleys is not the sort of man to stay with only one woman. But until he moves on to his next conquest, I'm happy for now.
Despite our small immoralities, my companions and I are on a holy mission. In our hands lies the fate of all Thea. It is a heavy burden to carry, but it is our duty. I think that I should do more to live up to that duty, to put the needs of those in my charge before myself. That includes my companions. As far as I know Rachel is the only other noble in our group and as a Voddaci I have my doubts as to most of what she does. It is time for me to truly become the Lady my mother taught me to be and put my pettiness aside. Unfortunately that is easier said then done. My first step in this is to talk to Luc and clear up this whole Montaign Secrete Police business. I need to determine just who he is spying for in Montaign and how much of a threat he is to me or my family.
