24 Quartus, 1669

We are leaving Avalon now. The Queen is alive and as safe as she can be. We have decided that the MacDuf is not as big a threat as we had thought. His primary concerns are focused on Avalon and he apparently has no desire for world destruction or domination. I for one am relieved. I didn't want to explain to Queen Elaine that we had to kill the King of the Highland Marches for being a demon.

During all of this I was in Innismore. I had been sent there to breif the O'Bannon on the situation. All I can really say is that I told him and his attention was focused on me. However I don't really think he was listening all to closely.

My conversation with Luc was…unique. There is a lot more to him that any of us suspect but at his heart, he is an artist. I am flattered by how he sees me. He sees people as intstuments in an orchestra. I am a flute according to Luc, which is primarily a solo instrument and joins the violins in leading the orchestra. I can only hope that I will go live up to his expectations of leadership.

I am also fairly sure that he is a spy but I don't know for whom. I also know that he is no threat. Luc has proven that not even my lineage would turn him against me or make him a threat to myself or my family. He is, however, the best candidate to be their godfather. He has the most honest view of us all, and him I can trust to tell them the truth of what happened, the good and the bad.

Luc is also missing something very dear to his heart. Her name is Angela. I am thinking that I should ask Celeste if she can put the word among the brotherhood to see if we can track down our wayward fey boat. I'm sure Montaign would like to have their Emperor back.

That is if we get out of Montaign. Luc is very concerned with our safety, though he will not let anyone know it. I have promised to leave him at his say so, but I never promised to not come back for him. Whatever danger he faces he will not do alone.
